We all have one, we are all part of many.   But we are part of one that has been on the loom for millennia, woven together with vast colors and threads, leading from the nothingness of pre-creation to the end times of a new heavens and a new earth.  And we are the threads being woven somewhere in the middle of that majestic tapestry.  In each day, in each moment, another stitch gets pulled through.  Some stiches hurt inexplicably, and some make us leap with joy, but they all come together to form the ever-widening tapestry.  And I’m thankful our stories aren’t woven alone, and I’m thankful that my story has been woven along with that of the women of Wellspring Littleton.

So, a story: We sat together on the first Friday night of September, light fading, cricket humming crescendoing in the backyard.  We gathered on blankets and rocking chairs and hammocks, expectant for what this evening, this season together was going to offer.  We heard from an author, a storyteller, who told her story and then the story of another woman Christ loved well: the woman with the flow of blood.  It was a reminder that we as women, as humans, have a story to tell.  And it may not seem as miraculous as another’s, it still has the marks of the Weaver on it, and that’s what makes it good.  We crave a good story, don’t we? It is innate to who we are as created beings.  And that is what the women of Wellspring Littleton hope to find out about one another: that we each have a good story to tell.  And it’s all in the weaving. Each month through the fall, we will gather together and hear the story of one of our community members.  We will delight in the triumphs, weep with the tragedies, and praise God together that He is doing something good.

So join us for First Fridays together.  Listen to a good story.  And maybe share your own.
