Sacraments

The Sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace given by Christ to his Church. In obedience to Christ, we faithfully administer the Sacraments of Baptism and the Holy Eucharist.

Baptism

Through Baptism we are identified as members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and heirs of the Kingdom of God. We are baptized in water as a sign of our union with Jesus in his death and resurrection, new birth into God’s family, forgiveness of sins, and new life in the Holy Spirit.

Eucharist

The Holy Eucharist is the sacrament commanded by Christ for the continual remembrance of his life, death, and resurrection, until he comes again. Also known as the Lord’s Supper and Holy Communion, the Eucharist is the way by which Jesus’ sacrifice is made present to us, and in which we are united to him in his one offering of himself. Bread and wine are the signs of Christ’s Body and Blood, and they minister grace, strength and hope to us.
